Caregiving: driving to and from home

Sometime ago I read a journal / photo entry about the first couple miles that you travel to and from your home, and how that may affect you.

It certainly seemed like a fun way to share our little slice of South Central Pennsylvania.

0.2 mile - end of our residential street …

0.5 mile – yes, a bison ranch …

1.0 mile – railroad crossing ...

1.5 mile – horse farm (white egret not always guaranteed)

2.0 mile – more horse farm …

Now, do the above two miles affect my mind set as I drive away or return? I admit it is a good question.

Caregivingly Yours, Patrick Leer

  1.  Lovely views and I would rather see that then big tall skyscrapers.

  2. I prefer yours to mine, mines concrete, traffic lights and concrete :) I think I'd be tempted to give those bison a few tufts of grass if the suns out.

And in your last entry I think caring is passed on like a handshake from parent to child.  It touches you how they care and we each in turn pass that on. Rache

  9. I'm sure it does... the landscape you drive through is so peaceful... I'd like to do an entry like this.... I pass through a few miles of country, and it is beautiful to my eyes. Yes it relaxes me as I drive to school, and again on my way home. You have such a relaxing, pastoral scenery to enjoy. Thanks for sharing. bea
