  1. Well written, Patrick... I remember when Patti still lived at home, and you were writing about the issues and conflicts, wrestling with whether or not to place her in the 24/7 care facility. You describe in a helpful manner what a caregiver needs to consider before the need arises. Many people will benefit from reading this. Sad that one has to drop to poverty level to get Medicaid, but if that weren't so, everyone would be applying for it. You write in layman's language with professional integrity. Great article, Patrick!

    1. Thanks you Bea, yes it has been a loooong time. You hit on the one point of the article I wanted to clarify because their editing somewhat clouded the point. It is not so much one "has to drop to poverty" level as in manipulate the system, it is more that when you count home caregiving in decades you likely will 'eventually' decline below the 'official' poverty level anyway. There is a cost both seen and unseen.

    1. Thanks Judy, but frankly it was a lot more stumbling than anything else.

    1. Muff this outcome wasn't even in our imagination when it all began. Planning for all possibilities is the best advise I can give anyone, not just what you hope for.

  4. Very useful information given by this blog. One point i would like to share with you guys " Elderly drive must taken care by the government(National Safety Council). They should implement some kind of restriction to the elders for driving. this may cause less damage in accidents and violation of rules and regulations. No doubt any of us can replace their experience but along with their experience we can't let the youth in danger while the elders are driving."

  5. While a certain amount of training is needed to meet job specifications, home medical service services must also have other natural features that enable them to compassionately perform job features, as per individual desires and the desires of their loved ones. This article investigates care provider features that are necessary for offering crucial services within homes and areas everywhere.
