Caregiving: wheelchair accessible van

Our wheelchair accessible van entered our lives only a year ago even though Patti has been using a wheelchair and/or scooter for at least 15 years.

I refer to it often enough so I thought it was time to show those unfamiliar with such a machine how it works (in under two minutes <grin>). Click video to play.

  1. Great demo video!! Queen!, great music! RIP Freddie!

  2. ...........We still have the front seat and Jack commands the back, he can handle the straps from the seat belts himself which is a big help..........We had a man who was experienced with wheel chairs and the safety straps, etc when we traveled cross was a great help.........good video and your van looks just like ours and ours is just a year our first lasted 7 years and we only changed because we were leaving California........we had been told there are only 2 or 3 in our area of sw oklahoma.   And to get it worked on is a road trip to the glad they work so well for so long! enjoy!

  3. ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGSTOYOU))))))))))))))))))Nice video.Have a great weekend.

  4. Wow!!! This really helps to imagine the great deal of time it takes for you and Patti to get around. A trip to the grocery store, restaurant or a movie is not just a matter of jumping into the car and driving there. Your choice of lyrics made me laugh. Patti and you are an inspiration! Great video clip, Patrick. Bea
